MyFoxNY.com -- A Brooklyn pastor and renowned gospel musician was critically hurt early Saturday in head-on collision. His wife was killed and his grandson is fighting for his life.
The Rev. Timothy Wright was on his way home from a Detroit gospel convention when the crashed happened along a Pennsylvania highway around 1 a.m. The reverend and his grandson were taken to a hospital in South Jersey.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
Wright worked for WBLS radio and is known for his songs, "Who's on the Lord's Side" and "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus." He lives on Long Island and is a pastor at Grace Tabernacle Church of God in Christ on Pacific Street in Brooklyn.
His wife, Betty, was 58 years old. The name of their grandson was not released.
