THIS JOB CAN BE QUITE UPLIFTING
Welcome to Delta Air Lines and thanks for checking-in to the opportunity to join our Customer Service team as a Baggage Handler/Ramp Operator. Delta Air Lines is one of the world's leading international and domestic airlines and our number one focus is to enhance all aspects of each customer's travel experience. Working at Delta you'll be central to demonstrating that we understand the demands of air travel and our goal is to make the experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
As a member of our ground crew, you'll work in an enjoyable team environment and help make sure that our passengers' baggage arrives safely when they do. Ramp Operators lift, load, unload, and transport baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft. Duties also include operating ground support equipment such as tugs, conveyor belts and tow tractors.
As part of our Ready Reserve program, you can work 300 - 999 hours per year. This position could be the perfect entry-level position though, which could eventually allow you to apply for a full-time position if you so desire. The benefits include flight privileges and working flexible schedules.
To qualify for this position, you must possess: strong customer service skills, the ability to lift at least 70 lbs., a High School Diploma/GED & valid driver's license, as well as the ability to pass a drug test and background check. All candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and be at least 18 years old. Previous ramp operations experience is preferred, but not essential.
