The Caribbean Tourism Organization is celebrating Caribbean Week in New York, June 8 – 12, 2009.� The main public events will be held at the Manhattan Center at 34th Street and 8th Avenue on Thursday, June 11.� The Caribbean Travel and Cultural Fair will be held from 10:00 am – 4:30 pm with Free Admission.� At the same venue from 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm, Caribbean Treats: Food, Rum and Rhythm will take place, with an admission fee. ��At the Caribbean Treats event, attendees will be given the opportunity to sample the cuisine and drinks of different Caribbean islands, while enjoying the music of the region.
A Workshop designed specifically for the Caribbean Diaspora will be held next door at the New Yorker Hotel (in the Crystal Ballroom) from 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm also on Thursday June 11.
