Dr. Arlie Petters, Duke Professor
Nominated by Sister D
on 06/08/2009
|
Caribbean Documentary member Sister D thinks Dr. Arlie Petters, Duke Professor should be our celebrated Icon because:
Arlie Petters' achievements speak for themselves yet he has remained a humble humanitarian. With all his outstanding merits, one will also see listed in his profile, an award given to him by the Belizeans In Solidarity, Inc. in 1996. That speaks volumn in an era when most people fail to value simplicity. This, in itself will keep the memory of the Belizeans In Solidarity Inc. alive as it acts as a means of empowerment. How best to honor your fellow men, than to make mention of their virtue, if any. I am glad to have been one of the Chairpersons for the Belizeans In Solidarity, Inc. whose vision bestowed a simple awards to a dynamic icon, Dr. Petters; and, I am glad to be his friend. Thanks America, you have helped polished another gem, this time it is from my native land, Belize. Dr. Arlie Petters, continue the good work for God, you make Belizeans proud. - your sister, deanne -
